Cynthia from Gen IV's Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, remains the only Champion in the entire Pokémon franchise to have an entire Pokémon team with perfect IVs. Statistically this makes Cynthia one of the more difficult Champions to beat. A lot of players have trouble with her because of her well-rounded team matched with perfect IVs, beneficial natures and items.

In the Masters Eight Tournament shown in Pokemon Ultimate Journeys, Ash Ketchum finally becomes a Pokémon Champion, defeating Leon, the Pokémon Champion from the Galar Region. With this, Ash Ketchum's 'Saga' finally comes to a close as he signs off a long series of Pokémon Seasons where he stars as the protagonist.

Ash Ketchum's winning team included Dragonite, Lucario, Gengar, Sitfetch'd, Pikachu & Dracovish.
