Pokémon Scarlet & Violet includes new Pokémon unique to the Paldea region as well as select Pokémon from various other Pokémon regions. The Paldean region does not include all Pokémon from the National Dex.
Our Pokémon Scarlet & Violet tier list includes all of the confirmed Pokémon in the Paldea region to date and will only include Pokémon found in this region. This includes Pokémon from older games which can be found in the Paldea region.
We will be updating this list as more Pokémon are announced from official trailers and gameplay. To date there's at least 200 confirmed Pokémon including the 2 legendaries and 23 new Pokémon.
Pokémon Scarlet & Violet takes place in the region of Paldea. The Paldean region seems to be based on three different countries of Spain, Portugal, and Andorra in the real-world Iberian Peninsula. The Champion of Paldea's Pokémon League is Geeta. She is considered the most skilled Trainer of the Paldean region and is the chairwoman of the Pokémon League.
In Paldea, there are vast open plains, huge towers, lakes, snowy mountains, deserts, swamps and many varied locales home to new and old Pokémon. Towards the southern centre of Paldea are the two oldest schools, the Naranja Academy (Scarlet) and Uva Academy (Violet). It's at these schools, you will embark on your latest quest, recieve your uniforms and starter Pokémon before you set out on your adventure.

Clicking any of the icons will automatically filter all tier lists to only display the selected. For example if you click the icon, then the tier list will only display Grass Pokémon in order of highest votes. Feel free to use the search bar to quickly search for your favourite Pokémon's position!
